THE THIRTY-DAY DEATH NOTE CHALLENGE - DAY NINE - The SADDEST SCENE

When this happened, I was, understandably, very upset. I had suspected it would happy, but reading chapter fifty eight, I didn’t want to think that he was really gone. Few characters have made me really dread their demise, and L I had developed a strong fondness for. So when he died, I had to put the manga down for a while.
The anime was even more moving. Episode 25 was a particularly beautiful, sad episode. Whereas it seemed like L had been quietly pushed out of the way in the manga, in the anime, his death was drawn out, in a way. The episode showed us his more human side, how lonely he was, how the only person he might have had an affinity with was his enemy from day one.
And some Mikami for today.
